This question was the focus of Dominic von Proeck’s keynote address at the PM Forum 2026 in Munich.
On October 8 and 9, the project management community gathered for the professional conference hosted by the GPM (German Society for Project Management). Under the theme “When Futurism, AI, and Elite Sports Meet Projects,” experts and executives discussed the future of project management, new technologies, and modern leadership.
Dominic von Proeck impressively demonstrated how collaboration between humans and AI agents already works today. His company now employs over 100 AI agents—each with their own names, tasks, and areas of responsibility. While Helga selects new AI colleagues, Hansi prepares LinkedIn posts, and Jürgen coordinates an entire AI marketing team.
But what does this mean for leadership in the future? People must learn to guide AI agents, delegate tasks, and critically evaluate results. As a result, communication, empathy, and leadership skills will continue to grow in importance.
His central message: “Responsibility is a privilege, and we as humans must retain this privilege.”
In his practical keynote address, Dominic von Proeck offered thought-provoking insights into a world of work where people and AI are collaborating more and more closely. After all, the more tasks AI takes on, the more important human skills, clear decision-making, and responsible leadership become.
