From 1990 to 2013, he was a management consultant with the international strategy consultancy The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), most recently as Senior Partner, Managing Director and Member of the BCG Executive Committee. From 2003 to 2011 Stelter was responsible for the worldwide business of BCG’s Corporate Development Practice Group (strategy and corporate finance).
After studying economics at the University of St. Gallen (1984 – 1988), he received his doctorate under Fredmund Malik with his dissertation on “Deflationary Depression: Consequences for Management”. Today, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung ranks him 40th in its 2019 economist ranking, ranking him among the 100 leading economists in Germany with the greatest influence on media, politics and business.
Daniel Stelter is a sought-after expert in the media and at congresses, who brushes against common trends with an unconventional view of opinion.
