2021 saw the publication of the book with the optimistic and encouraging title “Besser machen!” (“Do it better!”), which Sven Plöger wrote together with his friend Christoph Waffenschmidt, the Germany head of World Vision. It examines climate change and the world from different perspectives between development aid, faith, justice and natural science.
In his book, “The Alps and How They Affect Our Weather” (2022), the meteorologist explains how important the mountains are for our climatic future.
Even as a child, climate expert Sven Plöger knew that his passion was focused on everything that happened in the sky. Accordingly, it was already clear at that time that Sven Plöger, whose favorite subject was also physics, would one day become a meteorologist, and he successfully pursued this dream.
