Through the development of the “Five Exponential Principles”, he has been instrumental in laying the foundations for the creation of exponentially scalable business models in Europe and Germany. His books “Exponential Innovation” and “Exponential Innovation Playbook” as well as numerous lectures and workshops on developing one’s own products and business models inspire one to boldly set out into the digital future.

The path to exploring the rules for exponentiality brought Dr Samuels to Silicon Valley and Silicon China many times. There he worked closely with leading innovation experts from the centres of innovation, which permanently changed his view of the world and his own actions. The disruptive thinking and radical innovation mindset are the result of these phases of his work.

He currently serves as Founder, Member of the Steering Committee and Exponential Master Mind of the AI Startup HUB in Hamburg. There, he cooperates closely with renowned AI experts and works on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection to support 30 AI start-ups in their work each year. As an advisor to the Donors’ Association for the Promotion of Sciences and Humanities in Germany, he is passionate about the transformation of our education and science system.

He laid the foundations for his innovative thinking during his studies in applied computer science and mechatronics and during his doctorate in microsystems technology. His experience as CEO of the private university of Hamburg’s economy, the HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration, makes him an expert in the field of higher education.
