Norbert Taubken
Norbert Taubken has been advising companies in the field of sustainability, ESG and CSR for over 20 years.
As a natural scientist and educator, he thinks interdisciplinary. He has had insights into more than 100 client companies, from DAX corporations to medium-sized family businesses to eco-specialists. His approach is always a pragmatic one: How can the requirements from the regulatory side result in an approach that fits the business interests and culture of a company? In the end, he is all about taking people along on the journey to greater sustainability.

Norbert Taubken is co-founder of the sustainability consultancy Scholz & Friends Reputation and partner of the communications agency Scholz & Friends. The chemist, who holds a doctorate, previously worked in a non-profit values initiative and on the corporate side. In the book project “Unternehmensverantwortung wirkt!” published by oekom-Verlag, he bundled impact-oriented corporate projects together with the Hamburg School of Business Administration (HSBA).
Norbert Taubken repeatedly initiates or supports commitment projects at the interfaces of our society. He is on the advisory board of wellcome GmbH and the internationally active Good Textiles Foundation, and is a founding member of the Berlin Social Academy. At the beginning of the Covid period, he initiated the corporate network Hamburg packts zusammen, which collected donations in kind for those particularly affected and distributed them in the Hamburg metropolitan region.
He brings his experience in the corporate practice of sustainability and in the implementation of regulatory requirements to the design of workshops and conferences. He holds lectures, seminars and courses on CSR and sustainability. among others at the Hamburg School of Business Administration, the University for Sustainable Development Eberswalde, the Humboldt University Berlin and the German Press Academy. In 2017, he was awarded the “Best Teaching Award” by the HSBA.
