Stephan Grünewald

Stephan Grünewald is a graduate psychologist, co-founder of the renowned rheingold institute and a bestselling author.

The Frankfurter Allgemeine has dubbed him the “psychologist of the nation”. Together with his team, he conducts more than 5,000 in-depth interviews each year on topical issues from the fields of markets, media and society.

As a cultural psychologist, Grünewald focuses particularly on the psychological impact of social crises – from the political climate to consumer behaviour and collective states of mind. His expertise has led to his appointment to the COVID-19 advisory council of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia and as a guest speaker at the 2023 retreat of the German Federal Cabinet at Schloss Meseberg.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution to market and social research, he was named “Personality of the Year 2024” by the Professional Association of German Market and Social Researchers (BVM).
