Financial entrepreneur Carsten Maschmeyer at the OMR 2023 in Hamburg
Although the Red Stage is one of the side stages of the OMR compared to the 40 meter long stage in the large Conference Hall, the lineup was impressive there too. Entrepreneur and investor Carsten Maschmeyer was one of the highlights on Tuesday afternoon at the Red Sage at Messe Hamburg.
His topic: Start small, think BIG. This is how you make your start-up big.
Carsten Maschmeyer – start-up investor in an interview at the OMR
The hall was full and the participants were excited to hear Maschmeyer’s views on founding and sales. He explained his perspective on the current «winter» in the start-up scene and that investors are rather cautious as a result. He advised founders that they should ensure that their company is managed efficiently. This means that expenses must be cut back where they do not generate direct sales. Therefore, sales is always the most important area in which a company should invest. However, he also emphasized that after every winter comes spring, summer and midsummer. For this reason, Carsten Maschmeyer is still active as an investor. After all, you buy the cheapest convertibles in winter.
